Where Is the Love, Kurgan?

"This is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."
John 13:35

I couldn’t help but notice something today as I reflected on the Gospel. And I couldn’t help but think of The Kurgan.

Because for all his talk about being the last real Catholic on Earth, one thing is shockingly absent from everything he writes, says, or posts: Love.

Scroll through his Substack, his blog, or his rants on Social Galactic, and try to find one post that radiates love, joy, hope, or genuine concern for another human soul.
You won’t find it.

What you will find is:

  • Finger-pointing

  • Mocking insults

  • Sarcastic tirades

  • Uncharitable speculation

  • Endless condemnation

  • Character assassination

  • Self-congratulation

It’s the digital equivalent of standing in the temple, beating his chest, and thanking God that he is not like the rest of us sinners.

But where is the love for one another?
Where is the mercy?
Where is the invitation to hope?
Where is the joy of the Gospel?

The truth is, The Kurgan has none of it.
Because he isn’t trying to build up the Body of Christ.
He’s trying to build up his brand.
He’s not seeking to heal divisions.
He’s amplifying them.
He’s not drawing people to Christ.
He’s pushing them away with his arrogance, cruelty, and relentless attacks.

He claims to be the last real Catholic standing, but his fruit tells a different story. He has mistaken bitterness for holiness, insults for evangelization, and division for discernment.

Look again at the words of Jesus:

This is how all will know that you are my disciples,
if you have love for one another.

Not “if you have the harshest rhetoric.”
Not “if you have the best takedown posts.”
Not “if you insult the most people.”
Not “if you boast of being the last man standing.”

If you have love.

Where is it, Kurgan?
Show me.
Because I don’t see it.

Maybe today is a good day for all of us—including Kurgan—to take a step back and ask ourselves:

Would anyone recognize me as a disciple of Jesus
based on the way I speak about others?

If not, maybe it’s time to repent of the bitterness,
lay down the sword of sarcasm,
and start living the one thing Jesus actually told us
would mark us as His own.
