How to Study the Bible as a Catholic
As a Catholic Deacon, I am sometimes asked, "How do you study and gain understanding of the bible?". Always a good and welcome question, because as a catholic, we do not interpret the bible on our own (at least, we're not supposed to). The 2nd question that goes along with the first is, "What bible do you read?". My answer is always the douay-rheims version. Wouldn't it be nice if there was already a place where all of the early teachings of the scriptures by the Church Fathers has been compiled? Luckily for us, there is.
